COU-1
Anti-cancer disease-specific human monoclonal antibody
Currently in preclinical development demonstrating proof-of-concept, NatImmune is looking to partner this project. NatImmune holds IPR covering the target and a human monoclonal antibody selectively recognizing this adenocarcinoma antigen not expressed on normal cells. The COU-1 antibody has been demonstrated to selectively target both primary and metastatic tumour tissue in both animal studies and in a human imaging study involving 10 patients suffering from colon cancer. COU-1, an optimixed and fully human antibody, selectively recognizes adenocarcinomas of colon, lung, breast, and ovary origin. In addition to therapy, COU-1 shows great potential for diagnostic purposes enabling long-sought-for early blood based diagnosis of adenocarcinoma and visual detection of metastasis and small foci (following current therapies).
